SANATOGA PA – Horses pranced. A dog jumped through a flaming hoop. Women in sparkling costumes gracefully danced through the air, high above the heads of their audience. A clown whooped and hollered, and the ringmaster showed he could handle a lasso with the best of cowboys. And all of that was before the intermission.
The fun, frivolity and “death-defying” stunts of the Lewis and Clark Circus were back in Sanatoga during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday, July 26 and 27, 2014) at the Sanatoga Fire Company grounds on East High Street as a firefighters’ fund-raiser. Several hundred people attended the four performances, and also had their fill of cotton candy, peanuts, animal rides and souvenirs.
