Flamin' Dick Band Performs Sept. 6 At Sunnybrook

SANATOGA PA – Flamin’ Dick and the Hot Rods, a Reading PA area rock-and-roll party band that specializes in music of the ’50s and ’60s, will be the featured entertainers Sept. 6 (2014; Saturday) in a performance scheduled to open at 8 p.m. in the Sunnybrook Ballroom, 50 Sunnybrook Dr., the Sunnybrook Foundation announced Wednesday (July 30).

Thae band has played for crowds attending resort venues in the Catskill Mountains of New York, in the Meadowlands of New Jersey, and at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds in Pennsylvania. The group has been praised for emulating the original sounds of Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran, Bill Haley, Elvis, The Righteous Brothers, Gene Vincent, and Dion.

Tickets are available for purchase now from the ballroom’s website, or by calling its box office at 484-624-5187. Advance ticket purchases online are $15 per person; a $20 admission will be charged at the door on the night of the show. Members of Sunnybrook Foundation, the ballroom’s non-profit sponsor, receive a $5 discount on ticket purchases.
