SANATOGA PA – A Reading PA resident, who initially was stopped for speeding Friday (Aug. 22, 2014) at 12:22 a.m. through the construction zone westbound on U.S. Route 422, ultimately also was charged with driving under the influence, according to Lower Pottsgrove police.
Andrew Stanley Wlazewski, 23, was driving a gray Mazda that – when paced by a speed tracking device mounted on the patrol car of Ofc. Matthew Musselman – was clocked at 66.3 mph in the 40-mph zone. After Musselman pulled the vehicle over, he reportedly learned Wlazewski had been drinking alcoholic beverages earlier during the night.
Wlazewski was put through several field sobriety tests, all of which he allegedly failed, and was arrested by Musselman for DUI. A certified breath test later conducted at the Pottstown police station indicated Wlazewski had a blood alcohol level of .122 percent. He was charged with DUI and speeding, according to the officer’s report.
