Pottsgrove Piranhas Play During Sixers' Half-Time

Pottsgrove Piranhas Play During Sixers' Half-TimeSHINING IN A SIXERS’ SPOTLIGHT – Members of the local Pottsgrove Piranhas Girls AAU Basketball team played a mini-game Wednesday night (Nov. 19, 2014) before a larger audience than they usually see: those attending the Philadelphia 76ers’ NBA game against the Boston Celtics at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The Celtics won, 101-90, but those at the game said that didn’t dampen the pride or enthusiasm of players, parents and friends who watched what they hope to be future stars on any court. The Piranhas were invited to play during halftime by the 76ers organization as a reward for “all their hard work and dedication on and off the court,” the team announced on its Facebook page.
