POTTSTOWN PA – Commencement exercises at Pottsgrove High School will begin Friday (June 12, 2015) outside on Pennypacker Field behind the school, 1345 Kauffman Rd., if the weather’s good, according to Principal Dr. Bill Ziegler. If it’s not, those attending should be prepared to move inside the auditorium of Pottsgrove Middle School, 1351 N. Hanover St.
The 2015 graduation weather decision will be made sometime Friday afternoon between 3 and 4 p.m., Ziegler said, and will be announced on all district social media platforms and its own messaging channels.
If held indoors, graduates will be given four tickets for family or visitor entry to the ceremony. Overflow seating will be available in the middle school cafeteria, where the event can be seen on closed-circuit television.
Parking at the middle school is limited, Ziegler reminded ticket-holding guests. Should Mother Nature prove uncooperative, arrangements have been made to allow parking at the municipal soccer field across from the school on North Hanover. Buses will provide shuttle transportation from the field, as well as from the high school tennis parking lot; their runs will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Pottstown cable television station PCTV will broadcast the commencement in live streaming on the district website, and later on its publicly available channels.
Friday also is the last day for all Pottsgrove students, and early dismissals are scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
