SANATOGA PA – Nine local students were honored through Friday (July 10, 2015) for academic accomplishments and achievements in announcements from their educational institutions.
Student-athlete Josh Tupper of Royersford earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2014-15 academic year from Mansfield University, Mansfield PA.
Elizabeth T. Lagor of Pottstown was selected for inclusion on the dean’s list during the Spring 2015 semester at St. Lawrence University, Canton NY. Lagor is a member of the Class of 2016, majoring in performance and communication arts. She attended The Hill School.
Jonathan Hoyt, the son of Sherwood and Sharon Hoyt of Pottstown, has been named to the dean’s list with high distinction for the Spring 2015 semester and Grove City College, Grove City PA.
Four area residents have graduated from James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA, during its May 2015 commencement exercises. They are:
- Callan Rae Pirog of Pottstown, Cum Laude with a bachelor of science degree in Math;
- Sarah Ann Zahora of Pottstown, Cum Laude with a bachelor of science degree in Hospitality Management;
- Jessica Rene Boyle of Limerick, Cum Laude with a bachelor of science degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies; and
- Justine Alexandria Gryscavage of Royersford, with a bachelor of science degree in Math.
Stephanie Schultz from Pottstown, a graduate of The Hill School, was one of 732 students to graduate from Colgate University, Hamilton NY, during its May 2015 commencement exercises. She is a Biochemistry major.
Margaret Boyle of Royersford has enrolled at Lycoming College, Williamsport PA, for the fall semester 2015. She is the daughter of Linda and Steven Boyle. A graduate of Spring-Ford Area High School, she was a member of its vocal ensemble, concert choir and women’s choir.
