AUDUBON PA – J.P. Mascaro and Sons Inc., the Audubon-based trash hauler that provides waste disposal services to a large number of Lower Pottsgrove residents and property owners under a contract with the township, has won a new 10-year permit for a residual waste landfill it operates near Millville PA, west of Wilkes-Barre.
The company’s White Pines Landfill is one of only a few permitted across the state by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, President Pat Mascaro said. “Our people worked hard to earn this permit from DEP,” he added. “We are especially pleased that (its) action will allow us to continue to serve the commercial and industrial businesses in our region.”
Mascaro claims to be one of the largest privately-owned waste service companies in the country. Its primary operations are in Pennsylvania, but it also operates collection divisions, recycling plants, transfer stations, landfills and composting facilities in West Virginia, New York and New Jersey.
