SANATOGA PA – Holly Parker (inset above), a life-long Pottstown resident, has been selected as the new executive director of the TriCounty Community Network, 2151 E. High St., Suite C, the organization’s Board of Directors announced Wednesday (Aug. 12, 2015). She officially begins work Aug. 31 (Monday).
The network is a partnership of companies and organizations, public agencies and community advocates that promote efforts to improve the local quality of health, social and environmental life. Parker succeeds interim executive director Jan Morris, who took the position as the board sought for a candidate, and former Executive Director Jennifer Doyle.
Parker has worked with the network during the past six years as an employee of Montgomery County Community College. Previously, Parker served in a variety of leadership roles for several local non-profit organizations, including as interim executive director and director of development.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University and a master’s degree from Colorado State University. Board President Parker Tom Thunstrom said Parker “has a deep commitment to and understanding of the TriCounty area, and has received several commendations for her fundraising, grant writing, and community outreach.”
“Her experience in relationship and funder development in non-profit, plus her knowledge of the community, provide a great mix of leadership I feel will help take our organization to new levels,” Thunstrom added.
The network’s 2015-2016 program year opens Sept. 15 (Tuesday) from 8-10 a.m. in the South Meeting Hall at Montgomery County Community College, College Drive. The network also is working with state Sen. John Rafferty on his office’s third annual job fair, also scheduled for Sept. 15 at Sunnybrook Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
