SHOWING THEM THE ROPES – Montgomery County’s Camp Cadet, a week-long experience in Schwenksville PA sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Police for youngsters who someday aspire to law enforcement careers, is up and operating. Cadets on Monday (Aug. 17, 2015) observed and participated in a special vehicle rescue exercise conducted by volunteers of the Limerick Fire Company (above and below). During their stay, cadets get an insight into police training and the overall expectations of a police officer. Troopers report the popular and well-attended program is a true-to-life experience patterned after municipal and state police training.
