LOOKING FOR A NEW AUDIENCE – For years, Lower Pottsgrove welcomed visitors into the township with two bright-looking craftsman signs placed on East High Street in front of the CVS Pharmacy and, (above) on Industrial Highway at the Armand Hammer Boulevard exit of U.S. Route 422. Time has taken its toll, though. The lonely sign at Armand Hammer is weathered, and needs some repair and paint. More importantly, it needs an new audience because the on- and off-ramps for 422 have been relocated. The desire to move the sign, probably to somewhere near the new ramps, arose in a short discussion during a recent Board of Commissioners meeting. Expect it to be relocated, commissioners indicated, by the time the reconstructed interchange is officially opened with a ribbon-cutting.
