KUTZTOWN PA – A harvest celebration, during which visitors will have a chance to see how fruits of the vine are turned into delectable wines, will be held Sept. 19 and 20 (2015; Saturday and Sunday) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at Blair Vineyards, 99 Dietrich Valley Rd. The event is open to the public, and tastings and a dining menu will be available in its sample room.
Several visitors were out on Blair’s year-round patio (above) on Saturday (Sept. 5, 2015), where they enjoyed winery supplied cheese, crackers and, of course, fragrant and mostly dry wines. Guests are also invited to bring their own picnic lunch and enjoy the scenery from atop the vineyard hills, according to its promotional literature.
The 20-acre winery (at top and below) is surrounded by and offers “gorgeous views” of the nearby Blue Mountains, its owners reported. Their products are among those sold at Frecon Farms in Boyertown. Blair is open daily, Monday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. except for most major holidays.
