Pottstown Man Charged With Retail Theft

SANATOGA PA – A 58-year-old Pottstown man has been charged with a felony count of retail theft after Lower Pottsgrove police alleged he was observed taking a product from Redner’s Warehouse Market in the North End Shopping Center, North Charlotte Street, without paying for it.

Arrested Oct. 2 (2015; Friday) was John Miroballi, according to Ofc. James Kenney.

The store’s loss prevention personnel claimed to police that Miroballi was seen removing a bottle of over-the-counter medicine from its protective packaging before concealing the item. He then attempted to leave the store with the hidden product, and was stopped.

The felony charge resulted, Kenney said, after a check of Miroballi’s criminal history indicated several prior convictions for retail theft.
