Mother Nature’s Trick Delays Pottstown Parade

POTTSTOWN PA – Mother Nature has her own Halloween tricks, and they play a role in delaying this week’s costume parade in Pottstown.

The borough’s annual Halloween Parade, which was scheduled to be held tonight (Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015) downtown has been re-scheduled due to coming inclement weather for tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 29) beginning at 7 p.m. on High Street from Washington to York streets. For more information, call the borough Parks and Recreation Department at 610-970-6618.

Accu-Weather is reporting heavy rain and occasionally high winds can be anticipated throughout the day and evening Wednesday, prompting the Pottstown parade re-scheduling.

The parade is sponsored by the Pottstown Rotary Club, Pottstown Ambucs Club, and the department.

Additionally:

  • Pottstown Borough Hall will remain closed Wednesday after 4 p.m.
  • Pottstown Area Rapid Transit’s Night Line will not operate Thursday. Service will operate as usual Wednesday. For more information, call 610-970-6512.
