SANATOGA PA – Monday night’s scheduled meeting of the Lower Pottsgrove Board of Commissioners was canceled because of general election polling place preparations, and re-scheduled for Thursday (Nov. 5, 2015) at 7 p.m. in the Buchert Road municipal building.
Visitors to the township office before Monday’s scheduled meeting time found several notices taped to its glass door.
- The first announced the meeting postponement and rescheduling.
- The second reminded area residents the building would be closed today (Tuesday, Nov. 3) for Election Day.
- The third was a copy of the ballot from which voters will make their electoral choices.
The municipal building serves as the official polling place for the township’s fourth voting district. Voting booths, and tables and chairs for Montgomery County election personnel, were set up earlier Monday in the conference room where commissioners usually gather.
Just outside the building’s locked door, stretching from its entrance patio and west down its sidewalk to the parking lot, were an array of candidates’ signs already in place to greet the next day’s voters.
