Happy shop owners Cynthia Scherer, Laurie Sell and Natalie Dobry
ROYERSFORD PA – Three area artists – long-time Pottsgrove High School art teacher Cynthia Scherer, her daughter Natalie Dobry, and Laurie Sell – have also become joint owners in a new Royersford business that sells home decor, gifts, jewelry, and vintage items.
“Rust And Sparkle” officially opened its doors during the past weekend (Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13 and 14, 2015) at 333 Main St. The trio announced the grand opening was “a huge success” and publicly offered their thanks “for the wonderful outpouring of support for our little shop! We had an amazing opening weekend.”
Some of the works being sold are created by the artists themselves.
The women and members of their families have worked for months to clean, repair and re-design the property, which they purchased during August, according to Montgomery County property records. At one time it housed a dry cleaner, but now is filled with goods intended to delight visitors’ senses.
The decor shop is located next to the former Lebow Furniture annex building in the heart of downtown.
