Stopped For A Traffic Violation, Later Arrested

SANATOGA PA – A 27-year-old Pottstown man, who was initially stopped Friday afternoon (Nov. 27, 2015) by Lower Pottsgrove police for a traffic violation, ended up facing a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and being taken into custody by Pottstown police on assault-related charges.

Antonio Justiniano, whose street address was not provided, is scheduled for a hearing at a later date in the Sanatoga courtroom of Magisterial District Justice Edward Kropp Sr.

In a department press release, Lower Pottsgrove Ofc. Kevin Black said he spotted a silver-colored Dodge minivan Friday in the 3000 block of E. High St. as its driver allegedly committed an unspecified traffic violation at about 4:15 p.m. Black pulled the driver, later identified as Justiniano, over to investigate. During that period, Black also alleged, he found Justiniano to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and charged him.

Black said he later learned Justiniano was wanted by the borough police department. Justiniano was transported to Pottstown, where he was arraigned on assault charges in a separate and unrelated case.
