Fire Crew Has Fun At Sanatoga Spaghetti Dinner

SANATOGA PA – It isn’t as dangerous as putting out a roaring blaze. It’s not as difficult as preparing for emergency situations like a car crash or cleaning spilled fuel … but it can be almost as much fun as Santa has.

“It” is the Sanatoga Fire Company‘s annual “Spaghetti Dinner With Santa” event Saturday (Dec. 5, 2015) from 4-6:30 p.m. at the fire house, 2222 E. High St. Tickets will be available at the door. They cost $8 for children and former children age 12 and older; $4 for those ages 4-11; and the meal is free for those age 3 and younger.

Santa’s the star attraction, of course. He usually sits in a throne-like chair in front of the fire company tree, laughing and smiling and attentively listening to all the secret wishes young visitors have to tell him.

Meanwhile, out in the kitchen, company volunteers are busily at work, preparing salads, checking to ensure the spaghetti is al dente, and stirring huge pots of tomato gravy and meatballs. And, as the video above – taken during the 2014 dinner – shows, the fire crew seems to have a good time too.
