EAGLEVILLE PA – The “We’re Hiring!” sign has gone up in the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety.
The department reported Tuesday (Dec. 1, 2015) that it’s looking to hire new 9-1-1 telecommunicators, the men and women who answer callers dialing 9-1-1 in emergency situations. The positions, which come with a significant list of duties and require specialized training, pay a salary of more than $34,000 annually.
An open house for the department’s Emergency Operations Center in Eagleville is scheduled for Saturday (Dec. 5) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Officials said those interested can pick up a job application on the spot, and also “take a tour of the facility where you’ll be working.”
