Police Add Patrols On North Adams Street

GETTING REQUESTED ATTENTION – Lower Pottsgrove police recently stepped up traffic enforcement on North Adams Street in the township in response to residents’ complaints about traffic violations, department Chief Michael Foltz reported to the Board of Commissioners. Concerns focused on speeding and stop sign violations. The department this year has made several efforts to add patrols and enforcement details on portions of local highways perceived as trouble spots. During October, the latest month for which statistics are available, township officers handled 145 traffic enforcement violations and 37 traffic complaints, and responded to 44 motor vehicle accidents.

  • The Board of Commissioners is scheduled to hold its first meeting of December tonight (Dec. 7, 2015) at 7 p.m. in the township municipal building, 2199 Buchert Rd. The meeting is free to attend and open to the public.
