SANATOGA PA – Envision New Year’s Day: the ball has dropped, everyone has been appropriately kissed, corks on the bottles of champagne and carbonated fruit juice are already popped. What to do next?
Eat donuts, Lower Pottsgrove resident and Sanatoga business owner Bill Parker suggests. And, as you might imagine, Parker’s own Paradise Donuts franchise at 2170 E. High St. is the place he’d suggest first.
Parker reports his shop, which usually doesn’t open until 5 a.m. Tuesdays though Sundays, will be open New Year’s Day (Friday, Jan. 1, 2016) from 1-11 a.m., and in addition to an assortment of donuts also will offer early morning fare that includes waffles, bagels and breakfast sandwiches. He thinks those “staying up to welcome the New Year in” might enjoy some heartier sustenance.
Paradise Donuts also will be open at its regular times, from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m., on New Year’s Eve (Thursday, Dec. 31) for last minute party tray orders, he said.
Paradise Donuts are created by hand nightly. They’re covered with basic icings, such as chocolate and strawberry made with real strawberries, and variety of others including Maple Bacon, Chocolate Iced and Peanut Butter Banana. Toppings include coconut, peanut butter cups, crushed cookies, popular breakfast cereals, bacon and nuts.
