SANATOGA PA – The owners of Flowers By Colleen, a new Sanatoga florist and gift shop now under renovation at 2296 E. High St., are looking for selected local artisans interested in selling their made-in-the-U.S. works on consignment as part of the retailer’s offerings, they recently announced on their Facebook page.
Owners Colleen and Richard Rodgers of Pottstown expect the shop to open when work on the building is complete, but the company is already conducting business from a virtual store online. To discuss prospective consignments or floral needs, contact Colleen by e-mail, here.
At the Sanatoga location, their business sign has been erected, new doors and windows are installed, and the exterior has been painted in an eye-catching blue and yellow theme. Parking for vehicles driven by the disabled also has been added. Necessary plumbing, signage and electrical permits for some of the work were issued by Lower Pottsgrove late last year.
Colleen Rodgers has worked in floral design for more than 30 years, and for 14 years has been a special events designer for globally-known Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square PA. Flowers By Colleen will specialize in offering clients one-of-a-kind floral pieces and other merchandise for weddings, celebrations, corporate and business activities and seasonal events, according to its website.
