Kids spent Sunday sledding and snow-boarding down the hill in front of Ringing Rocks Elementary School. Expect more of the same fun today; it’s a snow day!
POTTSTOWN PA – All three area school districts – Pottsgrove, Pottstown, and Spring-Ford – declared a snow day, and told parents and students Sunday (Jan. 24, 2016) that school buildings will remain closed and classes canceled today (Monday, Jan. 25) because of the “Blizzard of 2016.”
In a message to district recipients, Pottsgrove Superintendent Shellie Feola cited problems with “current road conditions and (the) ability for our buses to be able to safely travel throughout the district, coupled with the ability of our crews to clean all of our facilities to the level needed to operate.”
Pottsgrove’s plan, she added, was to “resume normal operations on Tuesday.” Feola wrote that parents and others will be kept informed using the district School Messenger system, and its website and Facebook pages, “should a further delay be needed.”
