Pottsgrove Delays Return For Safety’s Sake

Friends sit talking Sunday atop snow piled outside Pottsagrove High School. It, and all other district buildings, are re-opening today on a safety-minded, two-hour delayed schedule

POTTSTOWN PA – Classes are back in session today (Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016) in the Pottsgrove School District, now that most of the clean-up following winter storm Jonas is complete. For safety’s sake, though, district Superintendent Shellie Feola announced students would return to their buildings on a two-hour delayed schedule.

“This will allow road conditions to be satisfactory for our school buses and students at their bus stops,” Feola wrote in a message distributed Tuesday evening (Jan. 26) to Pottsgrove recipients.

“Students will then be dismissed at their regular dismissal time. Staff will report on time tomorrow, and we will use the morning to facilitate their professional development activities that were previously scheduled in the afternoon,” she added. “We appreciate your patience and support and we look forward to resuming normal school activities!”
