EAGLEVILLE PA – Those interested in potential employment as 9-1-1 emergency telecommunicators at the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety are encouraged to attend an open house Feb. 27 (2016; Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the county Emergency Operations Center, 50 Eagleville Rd.
The event is free and open to the public, but is specifically intended to appeal to persons interested in a new career as dispatchers serving county residents. Telecommunicators answer emergency and public safety-related calls, and alert police, fire and ambulance resources to respond, the department said. Starting salaries for the position amount to more than $34,000, and the job is accompanied by a variety of benefits.
