SANATOGA PA – The expanded, redesigned, and fully renovated restaurant inside Sunnybrook Ballroom, 50 N. Sunnybrook Rd., will offer a new look, separate lunch and dinner menus, and also a new name when it opens in coming weeks. It will be known as “Gatsby’s,” the ballroom management company announced Monday (Feb. 1, 2016).
Inspired by Sunnybrook’s celebrated history of hosting big bands, the name for the 1920s-themed upscale casual dining restaurant is intended to reflect “a blast from the past,” according to Holly Becker, marketing director for management firm SunnyBrook LLC. The Reading PA-based company was hired by the non-profit Sunnybrook Foundation for day-to-day operation of the meeting, dining and entertainment center.
Gatsby’s will feature a “lavish bar design, a plush lounge, and a few secrets waiting to be discovered,” Becker claimed. Its staff will create “hand-crafted cocktails using fresh unique ingredients,” and the facility includes a specialty flambé and crepe station, she added.
The renovation, with an expansion of the complex for a larger kitchen and more meeting space, is moving forward, as are plans to re-open the restaurant that’s been under construction in recent months.
“It is very exciting to finally see the blueprints and plans … come to fruition,” management company President Charles Gulati noted. “We have been working diligently on executing a trendy, unique atmosphere where our future patrons can relax and enjoy themselves.”
