Elderly Man Missing From Township Home

SANATOGA PA – A 93-year-old Lower Pottsgrove man who was last seen Thursday (Feb. 4, 2015) at about 7 a.m., but is now missing from his West Woodland Drive home, is the focus of a township police search, the department reported on its Facebook page.

Harold P. Leister has been registered as a missing or endangered subject in the National Crime Information Center database, according to the status update item. Also missing, it said, was the car he drives, a white 2011 Buick Lucerne with Pennsylvania license plate DJH1547.

Police report that a day earlier (Feb. 3), Leister had fallen and struck his head. He was checked by a neighbor, they said, but was not treated by a medical facility for the injury. Leister has no other known medical conditions, they added.

Police have asked for public help in locating the elderly man (whose photo appears above). Leister is about 5-feet 5-inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, and has white or gray hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information should call the department at 610-323-1801, or call 9-1-1, the item said.
