In Just 10 Seconds: Watching Makers Work

HAVING TOO MUCH FUN LEARNING – It may be understatement to say Pottsgrove High School students have enjoyed themselves during the past month in the new “Maker Space” innovation center created by Library Media Specialist Danielle Small and Library Aide Denise Hegedus at the school on Kauffman Road in Lower Pottsgrove. As photos taken inside the library show, the space gets consistent use from learners and faculty members alike. Small told the Board of School Directors last December studies have shown such spaces can help stretch makers’ imaginations as they invent new things, gain insight into existing technology by taking apart old things, and collaborate on almost anything.
