DEVELOPMENT COMING THIS SPRING NEAR INTERCHANGE – Construction is anticipated to start within months on one or more of three residential communities positioned at or near the southwest corner of Collegeville and Black Rock roads in Upper Providence Township, according to a newspaper report. More than 230 housing units are expected to be built in phases, about a half-mile south of the Route 29 (Collegeville-Phoenixville) interchange of U.S. Route 422, adding to the traffic load there. Developers and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation have already made plans for roadway improvements in the development area. This file footage, shot during warmer months, shows eastbound traffic passing the interchange and westbound traffic exiting onto Route 29 on the interchange north side.
