To The Rescue After Home Burglary

THANKED FOR THEIR SERVICE – Lower Pottsgrove police Det. Sgt. Joseph Campbell, Det. Daniel Kienle, and Off. David Slothower (second, third, and fourth at right, above) were among several individuals presented Thursday night (Feb. 18, 2016) by Chief Michael Foltz (left) with commendations for their fast action and successful arrest of two suspects in a late December alleged home burglary on Ivy Lane. A woman who occupied the home at the time was kept safe by some of the officers on scene, while others – including those from police departments in surrounding municipalities – rushed to the location to assist in the investigation. Foltz said he appreciated the efforts of all involved, and added the incident demonstrated the value of local mutual aid and cooperation. Township Board of Commissioners’ Police Committee members Earl Swavely and Stephen Klotz (in bottom photo at left) joined in the presentation that helped open the board’s second monthly meeting.
