LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – There was a 15-minute delay in the 7:30 p.m. scheduled start of the Pottsgrove Board of School Directors‘ meeting Tuesday (March 8, 2016) in Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School, as board members conducted a closed-door executive session.
After the session ended, and their public meeting got under way, President Rick Rabinowitz announced directors had gathered to discuss personnel issues as well as “an identifiable complaint regarding a student educational plan.” He did not elaborate on either.
Board discussions of some legal and personnel matters are allowed by state law in closed-door meetings, not attended by the public, under certain circumstances. Official action on any topic must be made only in public meetings.
