Township Man Among Arrested In Sweep

NORRISTOWN PA – Residents from Lower Pottsgrove, Trappe and East Greenville were among 12 so-called “deadbeat parents” arrested Wednesday (March 9, 2016) by teams of Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies in an overnight sweep. Collectively the dozen owed more than $77,000 in past child support payments, Sheriff Sean Kilkenny said in a press release.

Among defendants taken into custody were:

  • Kevin Hicks of 2020 Sunnyside Ave., Lower Pottsgrove, who allegedly owes $4,280 in support for three children;
  • Dean Crowder of 806 W. Main St., Trappe, alleged to owe $3,198 for one child; and
  • William Bender of 5242 Wasser Rd., East Greenville, who allegedly owes $693 for one child.

The Sheriff’s Department “Domestic Relations Most Wanted for Child Support” list can be found online here. As of Friday (March 11), the list contained names and photos of individuals wanted from Pottstown, Spring City, Birdsboro, Gilbertsville, Skippack, and Schwenksville.
