Inexpensive Pumpkins A’Plenty For Halloween

NO SHORTAGE HERE – Heavy summer rains in the Midwest caused a pumpkin shortage nationally during 2015, and pumpkin reserves depleted due to that problem created a similar national shortage this year, Fortune Magazine reported in August (2016). Its writers obviously failed to consult growers in Lancaster County where, on Saturday (Oct. 15, 2016) afternoon at a farm on Division Highway outside Hinkletown PA, fields filled with the bright orange globes awaited picking. Those already harvested were selling for only a dollar apiece.
