SANATOGA PA – Santa Claus is accustomed to rough weather. Strong winds, bitter cold, freezing surfaces? None of that bothers him. Volunteers of the Sanatoga Fire Company also know what’s its like to endure bad conditions outside, but last week they delayed their annual cruise with Santa around parts of Lower Pottsgrove because they feared children who wanted to see him might be uncomfortable in plummeting temperatures.
On Saturday, though, township kids – including young Brynn Emery (above) of Alison Drive – caught a break. The temperature was much milder, and while the day’s rain was persistent it also was light. So the Jolly Old Elf and two different fire company crews made treks across township and village streets. Santa waved, and stopped, and visited with everyone in sight.
And Brynn got in a high-five handslap as well.
