COLLEGEVILLE PA – Girls’ indoor field hockey club teams in the under-16 and under-19 age brackets played simultaneous games Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 28-29, 2017), and kept a steady stream of fans flowing through the Floy Lewis Bakes Center at Ursinus College, as it hosted final rounds of the sport’s National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers. Weekend winners move on to the age-limited tournaments, scheduled for February and March in Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Ursinus was the last of 16 locations across six states where qualifiers, which began Dec. 17, were held for both brackets. Qualifiers also were held earlier (Jan. 15 and 22) at The Training Center on Wells Road in Spring City.
