Declutter: Get Rid Of Scrap Appliances, Free

THIS WHAT YOU GOT IN MIND? ALTHOUSE ARBORETUM WON’T MIND – If appliances like stoves, refrigerators, freezers, or washing machines and dryers are cluttering your basement or garage, volunteers for Althouse Arboretum, 1794 Gilbertsville Rd., Upper Pottsgrove, ask you do something worthwhile with them. The arboretum will hold a free scrap appliance recycling day Feb. 25 (2017; Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the entrance to the park. Simply drive in to drop off your seen-better-days items, and the volunteers will help unload. The sale of the metal, and any donations pleased patrons might also like to offer, will be used to fund GreenAllies, the non-profit group that manages the arboretum. Most forms of scrap metal will be accepted, but electronics, computers and televisions will not. For more information, call 267-371-2288.
