Limerick Police, Town Government Hit The Road

LIMERICK PA – Limerick’s police department and the township administration made way Monday (Jan. 30, 2017) for the expansion and renovation of their West Ridge Pike headquarters by completing a weekend move to a new but temporary location, the former Teleflex building at 155 S. Limerick Rd. They’ll remain there for about 18 months, officials said, while the construction work is in progress.

Renovation design and planning for the project, estimated to cost $10.4 million, is being handled by KCBA Architects of Hatfield. Township supervisors earlier this month reviewed final designs for the two-floor, 34,500-square-foot facility. KCBA also was responsible for the redesign and refurbishment of Pottsgrove High School, completed last September.

Limerick’s proposed structure (shown above) features large windows for natural lighting, an exterior facade of synthetic stucco panels and stone, and LED lighting throughout the interior. Completion is expected in the first quarter of 2018.
