Former Girlfriend Testifies During Crash Trial

NORRISTOWN PA – A Collegeville woman, the former girlfriend of a man being tried in Montgomery County court as the driver during an accident “that struck and fatally injured a teenage pedestrian in Lower Pottsgrove,” testified against the defendant Tuesday (Feb. 7, 2017), The (Pottstown) Mercury newspaper reported.

Court writer Carl Hessler Jr. stated Denise Dinnocenti told a Montgomery County jury that Robert Norman Sitler struck 16-year-old Timothy Anthony Paciello Jr. during the November 2012 accident. Sitler is charged with vehicular homicide in connection the death of the teen, then a Pottsgrove High School student. Paciello was said at the time to be “on his way home from his girlfriend’s house” and was hit as he attempted to cross East High Street near Sunnyside Avenue in the township.

“Dinnocenti, 47, testified she later lied to police when she claimed she was driving Sitler’s 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck at the time of the crash. Dinnocenti told jurors the lie was concocted moments after Paciello was struck,” according to the story.
