Students ‘Loved’ Falcons Football Team Readers

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Armed with big smiles and some well-known children’s books, members of the Pottsgrove High School Falcons football team (above and below) arrived Thursday (March 2, 2017) at Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School on Buchert Road to participate in the National Education Association annual “Read Across America” observance conducted by the Pottsgrove School District. The event honors the birthday of beloved children’s author, artist and animator Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. The players, led by Coach Rick Pennypacker, each year take their turns reading to individual classes, talking about their favorite books, and generally encouraging a love of literature. Several teachers on social media said their young students loved the visits.
