LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – The left lane on westbound U.S. Route 422 between the Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges is scheduled to close next Wednesday and Thursday (March 8-9, 2017) from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days for bridge beam removal, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
PennDOT advised drivers to allow extra time to travel through the work area. The contractor’s work schedule depends on the weather. The operation is part of the agency’s $73.3 million project to rebuild 1.6 miles of 422 between the Sanatoga and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) interchanges, and construct new bridges over the Schuylkill River and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.
The entire project is scheduled to finish in October 2018.
