LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – The left lane on eastbound U.S. Route 422 is scheduled to close between the Route 724 and Sanatoga interchanges next Thursday and Friday (March 23 and 24, 2017) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day for bridge construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. The contractor’s schedule depends on the weather.
The operation is part of PennDOT’s $73.3 million project to rebuild 1.6 miles of U.S. 422 between the interchanges, and construct new bridges over the Schuylkill River and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks. The entire project is scheduled to finish in October 2018.
