LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – The left lane of westbound U.S. Route 422, between its Sanatoga and Armand Hammer interchanges, is scheduled to close next Monday and Tuesday (April 3-4, 2017) from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily for bridge construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
The operation is part of PennDOT’s $73.3 million project to rebuild 1.6 miles of 422 between Sanatoga and Route 724, and construct new bridges over the Schuylkill River and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.
PennDOT warned drivers to allow extra time when traveling through the area. Its contractor’s work schedule will depend on the weather. Construction on the entire project is scheduled to finish in October 2018.
