Police Arrest Teen For Threats, Disturbance

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – A 13-year-old female student, whose name is not being released because she is a juvenile, was arrested Tuesday (March 28, 2017) by Lower Pottsgrove police on charges of making threats and causing a disturbance during an incident at the Buxmont Academy, 1460 N. Charlotte St., police Chief Michael Foltz said in a report.

The girl, who is a student at the school for at-risk youths, “had become unruly and made verbal threats to harm the staff and other students, including threats to ‘shoot up’ the school,” the report stated. The department’s Sgt. Timothy Walters and Ofc. Matthew Kemp responded to the academy’s call for assistance. They found the student was not armed, according to the report.

The student was turned over to juvenile probation authorities, it added.
