LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – All Pottsgrove School District buildings will release students two hours earlier than regularly scheduled on Wednesday (April 12, 2017), and the schools will be closed Thursday (April 13), so faculty members can participate in development training, administrators reminded parents from its Facebook page last week. The spring break will be held through Monday (April 17), with students returning Tuesday (April 18), they added.
Wednesday dismissal times are at 12:17 p.m. for Pottsgrove High School, 12:50 p.m. for the middle school, and 1:25 p.m. for the three elementary schools. Lunch will be served at all schools during the day, according to the district.
Due to the schedules of its sending districts, the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center in Limerick will be closed Wednesday. As a result, “students who attend the center are permitted to attend only their high school classes. If students need transportation to school, they may ride the regular school bus,” and the district will supervise them until their high school classes take place, it said.
The district also plans a staff development day for May 16 (Tuesday), and Pottsgrove schools will be closed May 29 (Monday) for the Memorial Day holiday.
