LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Periodic bridge inspections being conducted in Lower Pottsgrove for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will create travel restrictions on lanes of U.S. Route 422 during the last week of April, PennDOT announced Thursday (April 13, 2017).
The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to scrutinize bridges at least once every two years. They are intended to “ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures,” the agency said.
Inspections will limit travel:
- April 24 (Monday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., as the right lane of 422 eastbound is closed between its Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga interchanges;
- April 25 (Tuesday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the right lane of 422 westbound, also between Sanatoga and Armand Hammer; and
- April 26 (Wednesday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with closing the right lane of 422 eastbound between the Route 724 and Armand Hammer interchanges.
PennDOT advised drivers to allow extra time traveling through the work areas. The inspections depend on weather conditions, it added.
