They’re Learning Baseball The Pottsgrove Way

They're Learning Baseball The Pottsgrove Way
IT STARTS WITH GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP – The most impressive sounds on the baseball field Thursday evening (April 20, 2017) in Lower Pottsgrove’s Gerald Richards Park on Buchert Road were cheers and applause. Parents and family members consistently offered their audible congratulations to Pottsgrove Little League League Baseball players as they made their moves during one of the initial games of the season. Youngsters listened eagerly, at top, as coaches provided encouragement. They put on their game faces, below, and showed determination as the ball came hurling toward the batter’s box; and they yelled “Good game!” and slapped hands when the excitement ended, at bottom. Although they kept score, everyone left feeling like a winner. The league will hold its opening day ceremonies Saturday (April 22) at 9 a.m. at Kulp Field, 134 W. Moyer Rd., Pottstown. The event is free and open to the public.
