SANATOGA PA – A Lower Pottsgrove resident who has an interest in park usage and recreation activity, and who has time and the willingness to serve as a volunteer, might be an ideal candidate to fill a new vacancy on the township’s five-member Parks and Recreation Board. The Board of Commissioners indicated Thursday (April 20, 2017) it is actively looking for someone to step into the role.
Commissioners last month “regretfully” accepted the resignation of well-known and highly involved park board member Rich Wood, who is relocating out-of-state. In seeking his successor, they hope to find a person who, with other board colleagues, will help guide park development and maintenance, plan seasonal activities, and make recommendations for future park and open space use.
The board meets once monthly usually on the fourth Monday of the month, at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the Buchert Road municipal building. Its next meeting is scheduled for April 24.
Township Manager Ed Wagner made copies of a board member application form available during the commissioners’ meeting. It can be downloaded from The Post Resources Page, here, or picked up from the municipal building during weekday office hours.
