Pottsgrove Little League Launches Its Season

EVERY OPENING DAY IS A GOOD DAY – Lower, Upper and West Pottsgrove townships all were represented by police, fire, and emergency medical personnel (at top) on a pitcher’s mound Saturday (April 22, 2017) at Kulp Field, West Moyer Road, Upper Pottsgrove, as they and dozens of players and coaches observed the opening day of Pottsgrove Little League Baseball. Organization President Tye Kivela said having first responders throw out first pitches of the season (below) symbolized “the importance of their service to us and the children they protect.” While the day’s rainy weather proved to be a nuisance, it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of happy and smiling young athletes (at bottom) who couldn’t wait to get out on to the field and play ball.
