Police Arrest Man For Alleged ‘Road Rage’

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – A Pottstown man is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Monday (May 8, 2017) after Lower Pottsgrove police arrested and charged him in what they described as an alleged “road rage incident” that occurred on East High Street.

Evan J. Lantrip faces charges of misdemeanor simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct during the hearing before Magisterial District Justice Edward C. Kropp Sr.

In a release, township police Ofc. Scott Bond wrote that he responded April 27 (Thursday) at about 3:07 p.m. to “a report of a man with a knife at 190 N. Pleasant View Rd.” Bond’s investigation revealed “a male driving a blue (sports utility vehicle) had been involved in a road rage incident on High Street and then followed the victim to his home, where he then pulled a knife during the confrontation.”

Witnesses and the victim identified Lantrip as the suspect, according to Bond. Following his preliminary arraignment, Lantrip was released on $5,000 unsecured bail to await the hearing.
