LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Overnight pavement repairs are anticipated from Monday (May 8, 2017) at 6 p.m. through Tuesday (May 9) at 4 a.m., and will cause the scheduled left lane closure of eastbound U.S. Route 422 between the Route 724 and Armand Hammer interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reported.
Additionally, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Armand Hammer Boulevard, between Yost Road and the ramp to eastbound U.S. 422, on Monday and Wednesday (May 10) from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. both days, and Tuesday (May 9) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., for milling and paving operations.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. The contractor’s schedule depends on the weather. The work is part of the $73.3 million project to rebuild 1.6 miles of U.S. 422 between the Sanatoga and Route 724 interchanges, and construct new bridges over the Schuylkill River and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.
