LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Four Pottsgrove High School senior athletes this week announced their intentions to attend and play for colleges in their respective sports, according to Pottsgrove Director of Athletics Gary DeRenzo. They are Michael Neeson, Molly Galvin, Mikey Prior, and Malachi Hurt-Ramsey. Their selections:
Michael Neeson To Lafayette College
Pottsgrove senior Micheal Neeson – who during his high school sports career was named captain of both its cross-country and track teams, as well as All Conference – Pioneer Athletic Conference, an All-District Selection, a member of PAC-10 and District One AA champion teams, and PIAA State Runner Up – has signed a national letter of intent to attend Lafayette College as a distance runner. He will major in chemical and biomolecular engineering. Joining Neeson for his signing were parents Marisa And Thomas Neeson, and Coach Larry Rechtin. He also considered attending the University Of Delaware, Drexel, Lehigh, Villanova, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Molly Galvin To Lebanon Valley College
Pottsgrove senior Molly Galvin – who during her high school sports career was for two years named basketball varsity team captain, as well as All Conference – Pioneer Athletic Conference, and All Area Honorable Mention Team – has signed a national letter of intent to attend Lebanon Valley College. She will major in psychology, is projected to play at point or shooting guard, and later plans to enlist in the U.S. Coast Guard for medical school to become a psychiatrist. Joining Galvin for her signing were parents Megan And Michael Galvin, and Coach Mike Brendlinger. She also considered attending Delaware Valley, Arcadia, the University of Kentucky, and Philadelphia University.
Mikey Prior To Ursinus College
Pottsgrove senior Mikey Prior – who during his high school sports career was varsity swim team captain, All Conference – Pioneer Athletic Conference, All Area Honorable Mention Team, and two-time district champion and runner up – has signed a national letter of intent to attend Ursinus College. While there he expects to attain a dual major in business and chemistry, and is projected as a backstroke swimmer on the college team. Joining Prior or his signing was his mother, Sopheary Prior, and coaches Alex Diehl and Martin Schreiber. He also considered attending Albright, Temple, Susquehanna, and Bloomsburg.
Malachi Hurt-Ramsey To Kings College
Pottsgrove senior Malachi Hurt-Ramsey, who played football during his high school sports career, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Kings College. He is projected to play For Kings as an offensive lineman. Joining Hurt-Ramsey for his signing were parents Mark Ramsey and Lorri Hurt-Ramsey; his brother, Ephraim; and coaches Rick Pennypacker and Josh Lindy. He also considered attending Alvernia.
